Mind separates; love attracts. Mind creates a barrier betwixt a man and every suppliant deva. Love breaks down every barrier, and fuses diverse groups in union. The power of such examples to move us arises from our inherent reverence for all that is good, true and beautiful in essence. Despite all the limited concepts about divinity that have become anchored in the human mind, there is still that deeper aspect within us that resonates with what we sense as good and true and through which the energy of beauty flows and lifts us into a state of grace, momentarily perhaps but never forgotten once experienced.

The young generations coming into flower now are already pointing the way and taking responsibility for changing the world into one we all deeply know we need. They are not content to remain victims of a heartless fate but are taking up their role as responsible co-creators of a more divine expression. They are motivated by a sense of our common humanity and are acting on its behalf. When we share something with others – even something as simple as a meal, a shared joke or experience – something opens between, a free-flow, because of the point of communion. In that instant (if only for a moment) we are released from the effort to maintain and defend a separate, even competitive, image and freedom enters in, and love, and an energy that uplifts and empowers because it puts us en rapport with the greater Life and the potency of a shared Heart. Realising that we are a life-sharing part of a greater Life, we become open to all that flows through that life – and the joy of it all!

This is the last full moon period before the ensuing high point of the spiritual festivals of the year, the full moons from Aries to Gemini. It is not by coincidence that the energy that leads us into that spiritual peak is Pisces. Pisces is the depth of the ocean, the cosmic stars and all of space. In this signs is all the depth of creation, infinity and beyond.

Pisces is represented by 2 fish, both swimming in different directions yet both linked forever in infinity. Like us all, we are both the immanent and the transcendent, the male and the female, the all giving life and the subsequent death, before we are life in another manifestation. Pisces contains all this, the beginnings and the endings, the start and the finish, the completion of everything.

To begin a new cycle, we must have one end. To begin something new, we must let go of something and something must die off, to usher in new life and energy. The letting go as we all know, is usually the hardest part as we are generally creatures of habit. However Pisces eases us into this wonderfully, as it is a mutable water sign, one where attachment to anything earthly is not sought, instead operating at a level of existence which neither seeks nor wants to stay stuck with earthly attachment. Movement and exploration of the greater life and cosmos would be a great description for Pisces.

You can imagine this by looking out at the stars at night. At those moments, immersed in the utter brilliance of a section of our galaxy, we become lost in the depths of the sheer size, wisdom and amazement that is before us. We are literally transformed into the cosmos, marvelled by its sheer and infinite size, yet part of it all the same. It is easy to be lost in this, forgetting we are living in a physical body on the Earth, connecting instead to the greater life that exists outside of ourselves and continues to exist, regardless of what is happening to us.

In Pisces is the ability to transform, to go past our limitations and release into something higher and grander then we can actually perceive. To release requires great faith and trust, opening up to that which is beyond us, accepting that we live as a personality and that the higher part of ourselves can lead us on, but also that there is something higher than that as well. The great wheel of life, layers upon layers of wisdom and love, is opening all of the time to greater and broader light as we experience our life here on earth together.

This is the type of energy that is available to us at this time, peaking at the time of the full moon. Remember this is a Master year 11, one where we have the opportunity to do many things, one being to transcend our lower desire on a personal and human level and go beyond it into those greater realms. And the constellation of Pisces will help guide us there.

Pisces is ruled by the great planet Neptune on the traditional level, a planet highly linked in symbolism with the Christ and the Christ energy. Neptune is a 6^th Ray planet and as such, has helped influence us to be devotional in our pursuit of higher meaning,  of the depths of God and understanding of life. Neptune is the king of the ocean, and the ocean relates to Pisces, the fish, and its sign of water. We can use Neptune energy to be the king of our emotions, controlling the water element in our life.

The Esoteric or Soul ruler of Pisces is Pluto, bringing in the 1^st ray of Will and Power. To finish a completed cycle we need the power to destroy the completed form, otherwise we would be attached to it. Pisces does not seek to attach, it knows limitlessness and infinity, so the 1^st ray gives it the ability, through Pluto, to finish a cycle and usher in the new one in Aries. And on and on the cycle goes, until we recognise a greater cycle. And so it is…………

The chart at the time of the Full moon (AEDT – 11:51pm 2 March) shows a very strong stellium of planets, plus Chiron, all in Pisces in the 10^th house. This all bodes for strong Pisces expression. Being in the 10^th house means it will be in public expression, something we will all see and witness, not hidden in the shadows.

We could perhaps look at a few things happening and see how this is operating. The marches and coming together of students in America after the latest school shooting would be one example. There is a true sense of enough is enough, of the utter completion of the cycle of fear and the arising common sense of wanting less guns in America. One could sense the power and might of the 1^st ray of Pluto here, overriding the compassionate, understanding and sacrificial lower Neptune energy to say “enough…..long past time for a change”….and giving the strength, will and power to do it.

The stars are in a rather rare moment where there is not a lot of complexity in their relation to each other. There is not a lot of squares or oppositions, so it is a brief time for us to have a breather and enjoy some capacity to get things done, without a lot of extra strain. Astrology really is all about seizing the moments, the moments where things are challenging and we learn a lot, when things are less challenging and we have some time to reflect, and also moments of importance where we really need to capitalise. This 11 year is one of those moments, and with a clearer schedule in the stars, we might enjoy an interlude free from pressure before the compress of the Aries full moon period.

One small challenge we have is a square of the Pisces energy to Mars in Sagittarius. The wanting to get on with goals and work might need to be tempered, with a more reflective approach and a releasing from attachment to the end outcome of the goals. So expect to be quite driven in the next few weeks, if you have not already, but expect to change plans leading up to the full moon.

Virgo is the sign that the moon will be in during its fullness, allowing us to really connect with our emotions. It will be a good time to take stock and purify our emotional state, bringing our emotions down to earth and sorting through them, to release them to our higher self. It will allow us to have our head in the clouds (Pisces) whilst still maintaining our feet on the earth.

The ascendant at the time of the full moon is Taurus, further bringing in an earth sign to keep us from completely floating out into the ether. Taurus is traditionally ruled by Venus, so expect some great acts of beauty to surround us. On the esoteric level, Vulcan the blacksmith rules this sign. Vulcan helps us fashion spiritual tools to help us mould and shape our existence. This is a positive thing when we have access to so much spiritual energy through the pervasive Pisces energy.

The higher mantram for Pisces is “I LEAVE THE FATHER’S HOME AND TURNING BACK, I SAVE”, showing that even if we ascend to great spiritual heights, we still need to return to earth for service to help and serve others.

In the introductory level workshops you will learn what telepathic animal communication is and how it works.  You will be taught the basic skills including how to send and receive messages effectively, and understanding how animals express themselves.

“Intersections” was inspired by Agha’s seminal experience of exclusion as a woman from Mosques, a space of community and creativity, while growing up in Pakistan. The wooden frieze emulates a pattern from the Alhambra, a palace where Islamic and Western discourses met and co-existed in harmony, and serves as a metaphor of union.

Although this exhibition took place 2 years ago, it is still inspiring to watch this beautiful video to see the artist’s vision and creativity.  Pakistani-American artist Anila Quayyum Agha used light and cast shadow to transform Rice Gallery into a sacred space of her own making that was open to all.

Journey of a Lifetime: A Group Story is an account of the journey of a group through more than thirty years’ work. This book presents a new perspective on world service, developed through the group’s experiment, recognising the subjective reality behind the outer world of living. The group recognises the value of ‘living life from the inside out’ with the understanding of the oneness of life and the transformative perspective that this realisation brings. Just as the personality is intended to reflect the soul, its higher counterpart, the group in the world is the outer expression of the living reality of the inner group. CHAPTER ONE  Introduction: The New Day

The world stands on the threshold of that time indicated in various writings when a shift of conscious focus to a new goal is required. The movement is away from emphasis on the soul, which has received much attention and recognition, and onto the Life aspect, the one, the Monad. This shift of recognition to the Monad has been heralded by the impact of the Will, or Shamballa energy.

The Will is the highest aspect of divinity on our planet. It implements divine Purpose and manifests through the Plan. The Plan contains within it that which humanity needs to express within any particular time period. It is itself a reflection of the Purpose or the Will of God.

Various writings point to the new possibilities but the expected outcome is not stated nor is it revealed. It is therefore the task of workers in the new day to bring this next phase into experience and expression and give it form. This book describes the acceptance of this task in an experiment which unfolded through the life of one Group* over a period of more than thirty years and, at the time of writing, is still ongoing. It is not an experiment we set ourselves to do. It is an experiment we are.

We are challenged to find wording to elucidate the new phase. It cannot be merely a technical or academic essay which may tend only to invite study or discussion, as has invariably been the response in the past. Since it is based in our experience of the nature and elements of the New Era, this writing must attempt to convey the experiential while at the same time being accurate according to life principles.

The key to understanding is found when, having our life focus within the subjective world of the true being, the form no longer has the power to hold us. To eliminate form from our line of sight gives us the clue to understanding the diving Will, the next divine aspect awaiting our understanding. We may then become willing participants, co-operators, in assisting the emergence of that which is seeking expression on our planet, responding to Life’s new statement for this Era. The focus is beyond forms although it emerges into expression through those forms adequate to express its purpose in any new cycle.

Those forms which ‘stand between’ are of our own creation, both now and throughout time. Since they are products of our own creation they have no principled existence in their own right. When any form has served its purpose it must give way to that which can reveal a larger purpose. Any forms which do not reveal the essential unity of all life can no longer serve. In such a moment the experience of identification with Life itself bursts forth in all its brilliant possibility.

As we stand in this transitional moment between the Ages of Pisces and Aquarius we find we are recipients of new energies and influences flowing into our planet, offering us new challenges and opportunities in our expression of Life and its purpose in this tie. Many of the attitudes and concepts formed in the former Era no longer carry a forward movement; in fact they can be quite contrary. The valuable qualities endowed remain but the approach to life is changing considerably.

Let us cast our minds back to that previous time of transition between the Ages when the world entered the Piscean Era. Let us see if we may find some pointers to assist us in our present transitional time. The New Testament tells the story.

At the Last Supper, the Passover, which Christ shared with his disciples he made this statement: “Believe me, I shall not eat the Passover again until all that it means is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God” (Luke 22:16, J.B. Phillips). In other words, until we moved beyond ‘living the symbol’, mere observance or focus upon the external, instead of apprehending and expressing the essence, the spirit, the life revealed behind the symbol. Christ truly anticipated the potential for error in human identifications in the following 2000 years of time.

So Christ withdrew behind the scenes and the disciples set about carrying his message out into the world. But they also, like us, were products of the Age just passing and they initially began by endeavouring to put this ‘new wine’ into their ‘old bottles’. However, the inner plane took a hand to relieve them of the hindrances they were presenting to the work.

Firstly, there was Saul persecuting the Christians with a vengeance. He was on his way to Damascus with letters from the High Priest to the synagogues authorizing him to take prisoner and return to Jerusalem any followers of the Way. But on his journey, as he neared Damascus, a brilliant light blazed around him and he found himself confronted by the Christ who subsequently gave him the task of taking the message to both the gentiles and the Jews. Saul was transformed and became the Apostle Paul. We do not all experience such a blinding transformation and violent loss of our inhibiting conviction but then Paul was a violent man who was known inwardly to ‘storm the portals of heaven’.

Then there was Peter. His lifelong obedience to Jewish law would have prevented him from the understanding that Christ’s message was for all people and not exclusively for the Jews. But he was accorded a startling vision in which a great sheet was let down from the heavens by its four corners, containing all kinds of animals, reptiles and birds which he was invited by a voice to kill and eat. This happened three times and Peter answered that he would never eat anything common or unclean. The voice spoke to him again and advised him that he must not call common that which God had cleansed. While Peter was still puzzling about this vision three men arrived at his door, sent to Peter from Cornelius, a Roman centurion, requesting Peter to return with them so that Cornelius and all his household might hear the new message.

And thus was Peter parted from, moved beyond, his limiting beliefs which he had hitherto regarded as mandatory and never questioned, and he was enabled to present an unencumbered instrument for the presentation and promotion of the new day in his time.

Can we identify any ‘Peters’ or ‘Corneliuses’ in our day? Peter, indoctrinated by binding Jewish law, represents any in our time who have accepted a teaching and who may feel they have a monopoly on Truth. On the other hand, Cornelius, possessing no belief system, was not so restricted. He did not require any coaching or correction to recognize Truth. Truth will not survive, let alone thrive, as a monopoly. It needs no protector, no boundary, no advertisement, no argument. Truth just is.

We who would promote the esoteric or occult way need to take care that we are not modern day ‘Peters’.

As we stand on yet another new threshold in time what force may we call on to free us from the unrecognized hindrances that prevent us from revealing the Aquarian message?

In our time we are not likely to expect an audible voice out of heaven to point out to us the hindrances we hold which distort the new emergence. Besides, it is now the day of group endeavor rather than the time of individual leaders who go forth to teach and to preach. It is as a group that we are recipient of the Shamballa energy. This Will, with its powerful, expulsive and clarifying force, now directly impacts human consciousness. It is this force which acts to free us from these restrictive and separative attitudes and belief systems, if we will, and promotes that clarity of vision that apprehends the deeper and more expansive truths for which the world awaits. But we must also realise that this same force can intensify and reinforce the personal will which stands in the way of true group endeavor. The choice is ours.

A comparison of the diverse elements that condition the Ages of Pisces and Aquarius may yield further clarification of our time.
