Carrying the Note of Our Shared World

As people share opinions, register complaints, sign petitions, and rally in public demonstrations and protests around the world, we can begin to discern the voice of humanity speaking up directly and en masse. Though it may seem discordant at first like the initial tuning up of a great orchestra, we are now beginning to hear discernible melodies and harmonies rising in clarity and volume. The new songs are of freedom, peace, and the return of dignity to every human being, and they carry the note of our shared world and its inclusive oneness.

A great symphony is being orchestrated by the power of divine purpose and the response of the human heart

What is calling forth this massive response unlike any throughout our history? It is clearly something more powerful than the machines of oppression and war. Nothing can stop this great choral voice from its mounting crescendo, for it is rising out of our true Self, long hidden but now emerging as a great dawning light spreading through the vast receptive field of human consciousness. A great symphony is being orchestrated by the power of divine purpose and the response of the human heart wherein lies our eternal being.

Leading this new song are the brave hearts who step forward to uplift and aid, and so become radiatory centres that draw us magnetically onward and upward towards a finer world that is becoming clearer as we expand our vision. Christ spoke of this great evolutionary process:

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” John 12:32

As hearts awaken, their radiatory power breaks free from previous limiting boundaries

As hearts awaken, their radiatory power breaks free from previous limiting boundaries and, responding to a new resonance, they expand into the greater and more radiant whole of which they are a part – into the divine. In this way we become conscious participants in the evolution of our world. The Tibetan Master explains the nature of radiation and its magnetic effect:

Radiation is the outer effect produced by all forms in all kingdoms when their internal activity has reached such a stage of vibratory activity that the confining walls of the form no longer form a prison, but permit of the escape of the subjective essence.  It marks a specific point of attainment in the evolutionary process, and this is equally true of the atom of substance with which the chemist and physicist deal, when working with the elements, as it is of the forms in the vegetable kingdom, the forms in the animal kingdom, in the human, and, likewise, in the divine.
“…Radiation comes about when the internal, self-sufficient life of any atom is offset by a stronger urge, or pull, emanating from the enveloping greater existence of whose body it may form a part.  This is nevertheless only true when it is caused by the pull upon the essential life by the essential life of the greater form; it is not due to the attractive power of the form aspect of that greater life.” A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, page 1060 – 1064

…the radiant heart will overcome, and its power grows as other hearts add their collective strength.

The current problems we are seeing and experiencing in the world may seem insurmountable from the perspective of individual form-consciousness, but the open heart embraces a larger view and refuses to be daunted or subdued by their monstrous nature. This is why the radiant heart will overcome, and its power grows as other hearts add their collective strength. Every thought supporting those who serve the good of the whole is a radiant act, and helps to carry us through resolution to transformation, and ultimately to transfiguration. This is beautifully conveyed in this tale, cited in “On Eastern Crossroads”: A Hindu tale of cosmogony recounts as follows:

There once lived a deadly monster that devoured people. Once the monster pursued his marked victim. The man, seeking to save himself, dove into a lake. The monster followed.
Still seeking safety, the swimmer leaped on the hack of the monster and tightly seized the upright comb. The monster could not turn over because his belly was unguarded.
It started to rush about in a raging flight, anticipating that the man would become exhausted. But the man bethought himself that by his own desperate plight he was saving humanity. And under this universal vision his strength became intense, unfatigued.
Meanwhile the monster increased his speed until sparks formed a fiery wake. And amid the flame, the monster started to rise above the earth.
The universal thought of the man had raised up even the enemy. When men see a comet they are grateful to the valiant one, eternally striving. The thoughts of people hasten on, giving new force to the rider of the monster. White, yellow, red, and black peoples turn their thoughts to him who long since became aflame.” From: “On Eastern Crossroads”: A Hindu tale of cosmogony.

Many of the voices calling for justice, freedom, and dignity for all… have become freed from the old priority of protecting their individual worldly form, to a new priority of care for others

Many of the voices calling for justice, freedom, and dignity for all, are serving in the midst of dire situations. Being at the front line, they know first-hand how extreme the need is. Yet their individual survival matters less to them than the service they can render to others. The number of aid workers, doctors, paramedics and journalists who have been killed in Palestine is a testament to the greatness of their sacrifice. Something greater than themselves inspires and motivates such workers. They have become freed from the old priority of protecting their individual worldly form, to a new priority of care for others and the common good. The Tibetan Master describes the power behind this freeing process:

… the principle of freedom … gives the incentive towards the “culture of freedom” or of liberation which … produced the ferment and the vortex of conflict in far distant ages and which has been recognised in the present through the results of the Law of Evolution in every kingdom in nature; this is that which ‘substands’ or lies under or behind all progress.  This mysteriously ‘exerted influence,’ this ‘pulling away’ from form (as we might simply call it), emanates from Sirius…” The Rays and the Initiations, page 416-7

The voice of the new collective human… sounds the end of an age and the beginning of a new world.

The voice of the new collective human is reverberating throughout our world, and its seismic impact is shaking us free of old patterns of thought, relationship and identity. Through its rising tide, it sounds the end of an age and the beginning of a new world. It is reflected in the Agni Yoga writings:

If a song is needed it is the song of the heart, and in this song all creation will resound.” Fiery World II 38

Everyone who expresses music in himself sacrifices, not for himself, but for others, for humanity, for Cosmos.”Supermundane 42

“Boundless is the World, countless the colors of the Light. Immersed in its harmony, the spirit sings the song of all hearts. Therefore, rejoice if you can sense it.”                  Leaves of Morya’s Garden II 394
