The Chalice of Immortality

Since times immemorial the Chalice has been a symbol of Service.

The Chalice is the vessel that holds the sacred accumulations of Spirit life after life.

The gifts of Higher Forces are gathered in the Chalice and given from the Chalice.

The Chalice contains the accumulations of centuries which are gathered around the seed of the Spirit. Seeds of the Spirit persist beyond the transitory experiences of our earthly incarnations.  Their accumulations in the Chalice bear witness to the continuity of life. Hence the Chalice in us is the Chalice of Immortality.

The Chalice in the mundane world has a number of aliases. Here are a few:

The symbol of the Chalice has always stood for self-sacrifice for evolutionary purposes: for the Common Good. Each fiery achievement can be marked by its symbol. Everything done for the highest for the good of humanity, therefore, should bear this symbol.

In us the Chalice resides intimately close to the heart and it operates through the heart. And, when the Chalice of the Heart has dedicated itself to the Great Service, we are told, it is:

“a most Cosmic Magnet. The Heart of the Cosmos is reflected in this great symbol.” Fiery World III, sloka 49.

Currently, the Chalice of Immortality – a vessel containing the seeds of past, present and future accumulations for the progress of evolution – is reflected in the Cosmos by a configuration of outer planets (Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto).

French astrologer André Barbaut, the only astrologer who predicted the pandemic, spoke about the deep significance of this configuration. According to Mark A. Shryock in “The World We Have Known ends this July. A New One begins. The Barbault Basket”, this configuration created a geometric pattern which Barbault called a basket: “a rare alignment where the outer planets cluster in one section of the zodiac wheel while one planet sits apart, like a handle on a basket”.  Barbault theorised that this configuration would mark “a turning point in world history, potentially ushering in a “splendid relaunch of civilisation” – or a new era of global reconstruction and resource redistribution”.

Shyrock goes on to say that:

“The basket is momentous because it activates three great outer planet cycles simultaneously. The Neptune-Pluto sextile, a roughly 492 year cycle, began with the Neptune-Pluto conjunctions of 1891 to 1892. This cycle represents the deep unconscious transformation of collective belief systems, the eruption of spiritual and psychological depths into cultural expression. The Pluto-Uranus trine, a 113 to 141 year cycle, began with the Pluto-Uranus conjunctions of 1965 to 1966, the counterculture, civil rights, space exploration, the birth of the digital age. The Uranus-Neptune sextile, a roughly 170 year cycle, began with the Uranus-Neptune conjunctions of 1993, the World Wide Web, the end of the Cold War’s final chapter, the globalization of consciousness. When all three cycles express harmonious aspects at once, and Jupiter amplifies the entire configuration, Barbault identified it as the most beautiful configuration of the 21st century.

Barbault’s own words on this period were specific. In his 2014 book The Value of Astrology, … he wrote that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of 2026 is the most beneficent configuration of the century and its interplanetary partnership will work for the best in a splendid re-launch of civilization… In his broader analysis of the 2026 to 2028 period, he described the new world civilization, the beginnings of which appeared around the year 2000, as being in full flight. He wrote that this entry into the second quarter of the century bears the stamp of the achievement of a new age of humanity. He specified that the central and harmonic position of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction is especially expressive of a promotion of the lower strata of the world population, a significant rise in the standard of living of the poor, a victory over misery won in unprecedented solidarity….  He believed, based on decades of cycle analysis, that the geometry of 2026 represented a genuine turning point, the end of the chaotic cycle begun in 2020 and the beginning of a more constructive era.

…What makes July 2026 genuinely unique is the combination. All five outer planets in harmonious aspect simultaneously. Activation at the same degree across four different signs. Occurring within the first decanate of signs. Following the Saturn-Neptune conjunction on February 20, 2026, at the very first degree of Aries, the very first degree of the zodiac, a cosmic new beginning. Nested within the 200 year air cycle of Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions that began in 2020, marking the shift from earth element empires to air element information networks. No recorded historical precedent matches this exact geometric signature. The last time Neptune was at the midpoint of a similar configuration was 1504, over 500 years ago.”

It bears repeating:

The current harmonious configuration of the outer planets heralds a period of reconstruction, following a world-wide crisis (the pandemic) coinciding with the 2020 Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn. Shyrock says the basket can be seen as a “civilizational reset”:

“The Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries in February 2026 is the pure potential seed. The basket in July is its activation. This is the threshold to the new world. Once we pass through it, there will be no return to the way it was… Barbault specifically predicted that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction would bring a significant rise in the standard of living of the poor, a victory over misery won in unprecedented solidarity. Technological spiritual paradox. The configuration presents a significant choice point. Whether humanity will follow the invisible and mysterious stream of spiritual evolution or the denser reality of technological expansion. The question of whether these can harmonize is, in Barbault’s view, the foremost existential question of the new era.”

The intensity of this configuration peaked in a 72 hour period from 19 to 21 July 2026, however, the strength of this alignment is active through to the 12 August; and therafter the impact of its imprint continues to anchor in substance – as its revelations will unfold in the years to come.

Although Barbault described the configuration as a “basket”, it could just as appropriately be referred to as a chalice. Down the ages, the chalice as a vessel for containing fluids has been variously represented as a goblet or some form of bowl or basket.  So we might call Barbault’s Basket Barbault’s Chalice.  And, thus, we may ponder on and feel into the significance of the outer planets constellating to create a Chalice in the Heavens.

Master Morya poses an essential question to us about the necessaity to locate this feeling:

“Where is the feeling, the substance with which we shall fill the Chalice of Great Service? Let us gather this feeling from the most precious treasures. We shall find elements of it in religious ecstasy, when the heart quivers with the Highest Light. We shall find other elements in the feeling of heartfelt love, where the tear of self-abnegation glistens. We shall find elements amidst the heroic achievements of podvig, when power is increased in the name of humanity. We shall find them in the patience of the gardener when he muses on the mystery of the seed. We shall find them in the courage that penetrates the darkness. We shall find them in the smile of a child when it reaches out to a sunbeam. We shall find them amidst all the flights that carry us into the Infinite. The feeling of Great Service is boundless; it must fill the heart, which is forever inexhaustible. The sacred tremor will never become an everyday porridge, but when the tremor left the very best Teachings, they turned into assemblages of empty husks. Thus, in the midst of the battle think about the Chalice of Service and take an oath that the sacred tremor shall not leave you.” Heart, sloka 509.

This call for outer and inner identification at this pivotal moment is happening as our blue planet is experiencing the inflow of energies from that brilliant star of Sensitivity, Sirius – where the Great White Lodge, the spiritual prototype for the Spiritual Hierarchy on Earth, resides.

Sirius’s energy of freedom provides a lever to facilitate the identification. Sirian Freedom, we are told, is beyond our capacity to comprehend and yet me must sensitise to it and as we participate in this preparatory sensitivity we serve, discovering that we know because we work. Sirian Freedom operates as a “leavening energy” that penetrates substance in such a way as to unshackle us from conditioning forces binding us to outmoded ideas and thought-forms – releasing us into a vaster experience of life. It has the capacity to awaken Itself at the heart of every atom within solar and planetary Life – and that includes our hearts, and the heart of every atom within us.

The world crises and challenges are bringing us to the realisation of the necessity for this civilisation re-set. As we identify with these challenges all over the globe, Humanity is truly learning to feel the universality of the heart.

In the words of Master Morya in Heart, sloka 7:

“How necessary it is that one learns to feel the heart not as one’s own, but as something that belongs to the entire world. Only through this feeling can a person begin to liberate her/himself from egoism while preserving the individual nature of her/his accumulations. It is difficult to embrace both individuality and universal containment, but there is good reason for the magnet of the heart to be connected with the Chalice.”

At this auspicious pivotal moment in Leo in 2026 that Barbault’s Chalice has formed in the Heavens, may Humanity feel the sacred tremors of the seeds of spirit awakening in the Chalice calling forth fiery achievements in us for Aquarian sharing of Life both in the supermundane and mundane worlds.

What if in everyday rituals of using a humble cup we pause to re-frame it as a Chalice and ponder on the blessing we receive in partaking of its waters – and the remembrance it awakens, and inspires, of the Chalice of Immortality in us?

We are invited to reflect on the new symbol of the Chalice for the New Era and its great importance for the development of the future race. The Chalice is also the new Aquarian symbol for peace. By inference, we can add two more aliases to the list: the Chalice of Peace and the Chalice of Shambhala.

As Humanity reflects, we might like to listen to what Master Morya suggests:

“You might carry out all kinds of psychophysiological actions, but if you ask Me how to act now, I will tell you, ‘Let your heart ascend.’ Picture your heart as if it were in a chalice from which a flame was rising.” Heart, sloka 233.
