The Practice of Compassion in Times of War | Thich Nhat Hanh (short teaching)

In this short teaching video from the Plum Village App https://plumvillage.app/ Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh talks about the psychology of compassion, in which the true frontier is between indoctrinated dimensions of fear and threat, and the wisdom of the heart.

According to Zen teachings, compassion is the source of the greatest human strength, and the ability to generate compassion brings the immediate reward of a decrease in fear and an increase in freedom.

We may draw parallels between his experience of the war in Vietnam with today’s invasion of Ukraine.
