The Dollar and the Banner of Peace

A penny for your thoughts these days – with inflation – may be more like a dollar now.

And if it’s a US dollar – spare a thought for one of the images on it – the unfinished pyramid overshadowed by the all-seeing eye.

It was Nicholas Roerich* who suggested that the symbol of the Great Pyramid on the Great Seal of the United States might be a fitting image for the dollar bill.

Roerich’s suggestion was made in the swirl of the creative tension and momentum preceding the signing of the Roerich Peace Pact and hence the DNA of the image on the bill was imbued with the current of energy behind the Pact and the Banner of Peace.

It’s interesting to consider this psychic energy imprinting the US dollar bill as it circulates through the world financial system.

Billions of dollars are in motion every day – imprinted with the symbol of Egyptian mysteries of the past, the present (the now of this moment) and the future (the pursuit of a more perfect union in the yet to be finished pyramid).

What if when we make choices about how we spend our money we do so consciously knowing that we are supporting – or not – our highest cultural values and hence co-creating peace on Earth?

*A supporter of the Peace Pact, US Secretary of Agriculture, Henry Wallace conveyed Roerich’s idea to Secretary of the Treasury. And the pyramid has been on the dollar bill ever since.
