Heart Communion & Communion with the Hierarchy

HEART COMMUNION
& COMMUNION WITH THE HIERARCHY

In this year of the 2025 Conclave in which energies are put in motion for the next 100 years of Humanity’s evolutionary journey, it’s time to appreciate the significance of Direct or Heart Communion.

Master Morya says:

If you ask Me what methods are befitting our times, I say—you must prepare yourselves for direct Communion. All conventional measures are already mediocre in themselves. In these days, when fiery energies have been so intensified, precisely this fire helps the heart to understand the Higher Command. This Command is propounded in the very midst of life. Then We say—harken and obey! …. people must seek heart communion. Fiery World II, 236

Temple of the Heart

Where may we participate and practice Direct or Heart Communion?

Heart Communion does not require bricks and mortar cathedrals, temples or monasteries.
Rather, the place for communion is in abode of Spirit.

The Temple of the Spirit requires no special passports, transports or access as it resides within the heart, and hence wherever we are.  Always present.

The Temple of the Spirit is the Temple of the Heart.

Direct or Heart Communion is the practice of the Yoga of the Heart.

Methods of our time

How may we participate in Direct or Heart Communion?

It begins with an awakening in the heart – a visceral knowing or “straight-knowledge” that ignites a spark.

This fire in the heart requires no rituals or conventional measures or practices for its awakening – triggered as it is from a rainbow of labours that provoke remembrance of one’s deeper identity.

This fire in the heart is the fire of spirit, or essence.

Direct or Heart Communion is the practice of the Yoga of Fire.

To be filled with fire or spirit or essence, means to place oneself in direct relationship or Communion with those who have gone before us as flaming hearts in the infinite chain of Being – our spiritual Elders or Brothers – the spiritual Hierarchy.

Master Morya says that:

The heart was always thought of as the focus of life. Later on, people came to realize the Yoga of Hierarchy in their hearts; in other words, they became aware of the link with the Highest. Heart, 500

Direct or Heart Communion is the practice of the Yoga of Hierarchy.

These Yogas cited – the Yoga of the Heart, the Yoga of Fire and the Yoga of Hierarchy – are just three names or aliases for the Yoga of Synthesis.  There are many more inclusive but not limited to:

The Yoga of Living Ethics
The Yoga of Life
The Yoga of the Future
The Yoga of the Subtle and Fiery Worlds
The Yoga of Love
The Yoga of Labour
The Yoga of Thought

Whereas all preceding Yogas took as their basis a particular aspect of life, the Yoga of Synthesis was given to Humanity as it comprises the essence of the whole of life, all-embracing, evading noughtAgni Yoga, 158.  The different names serve not as compartmentalised “divisions” of a vivisected concept but rather as facets of the one diamond that provide luminous entry points to the energetic experience of synthesis.

This is intimately linked to the key to our understanding of the method of Direct or Heart Communion which is the process of identification with all Life. Beyond empathy, this process of identification is, in the first instance, our capacity to experience identical atonement – with that which/whom we identify. In essence, the Yoga of Synthesis is union through identification with the Whole.

Direct or Heart Communion is the practice of the Yoga of Synthesis.

On the threshold of this experience is acceptance.

We must first accept the reality that the fire within and the Fire without are the one and the same Fire, underpinning the whole of Life.

In the Agni Yoga Teachings it is said that:

The Fiery World is primarily within us, if only we discern its abode. Its presence is everywhere, however, a current must be established through the heart. Adapted, Fiery World I, 354

Further, the acceptance of the Yoga of Fire – union with Fire – confirms Humanity in its conscious communion with the Cosmic Magnet, that is, the Heart of the Universe. It is said that this communion:

…with the Fire of Space will afford possibility for amelioration of earthly conditions. Infinity II, 134.

Indeed, conscious Direct or Heart Communion with the Cosmic Magnet ultimately transforms the flaming heart into a Cosmic Magnet.

Heart Communion, the Art of Thinking and Thought-Heart

Master Morya says that anytime we surround ourselves in the fiery energy of solemnity and think and speak about the Brotherhood it is in itself a great communion.

In this moment, at the high point of the 2025 Conclave, thought about the Brotherhood is a great communion and Brotherhood itself is primarily a School of Thought.

Direct or Heart Communion is the practice of the Yoga of Thought.

Master Morya urges us to understand thought in all its fullness. It is the “law of the world”.  It is not only verbal expression, but that the domain of thought is also the domain of mental energy. This latter aspect is often lost sight of such that Humanity deprives itself of the noble meaning of thought-energy – beyond the limits of Earth.  He says:

Thought, just as does thought-energy, actually assumes due significance when it is understood as existing beyond the limits of Earth. Adapted, Brotherhood, 341

There is an art to this thinking. The Thinker recognised this and urged His disciples to be “artists who could create new kinds of harmony” through the art of their thinking. Supermundane, 341.

Master Morya recognised the need for the regeneration of thinking and he articulated what was required to bring this about. He said that for the art of thinking to be completely and consciously regenerated, there had to be an understanding of the three worlds.  Adapted, Fiery World I, 541

The three worlds referred to here are the Fiery World or world of the Spirit; the Subtle World or world of the Soul; and the Manifest World or world of the Personality. Too frequently there is an over-identification with the Manifest World which results in a poverty of thinking.  To enrich our thinking and elevate it to the level of an art, we need to embrace ALL of its dimensions.

The Brotherhood provide the template for the practising the art of thinking.  Hierarchical philosophy is based upon thinking about Infinity.

Further, they offer a brief formula in the form of a hyphenated word: thought-heart that awaits unpacking. There is a great mystery in the process of thought transmission and reception that is beyond words.  We are told that:

a thought that is sent is not always transformed into verbal forms by the recipients, but nonetheless it is imbedded in the mental apparatus and reacts upon the mode of thinking. Brotherhood, 336

Frequently it is only thought translated into words has been taken into consideration, but the deepest reaction to thought transmission and reception is beyond words and calls for our attention. Adapted, Brotherhood, 336

As Brotherhood is primarily concerned with curative principles, as we in Solemnity are in communion with the Brotherhood – the School of Thought – during the 2025 Conclave let us exercise the art of thinking together, ponder on the formula of thought-heart and see what it reveals, as we embrace the fullness of thought both in its translation into verbal expression as well as the wordless thought-energy that – without translation into words – anchors into the mental apparatus and potently impacts the mode of thinking.

Wordless thought is far more powerful, manifesting a purer degree of Fire. …An unuttered thought remains entirely free from the condition of constraint brought by language…We send fiery thoughts; they are fierily understood.  This understanding may be called straight-knowledge, but its origins may be called the language of Fire….Verbal husks will alienate rather than brings us closer to the Fiery World. Edited, Fiery World I, 354

Let us gather in the creative tension of the Silence of Heart Communion.
