A Beacon to Dispel the Dark

Looking through the lens of mainstream media, world events can seem increasingly unpredictable, with previously “hawkish” leaders making peace agreements even as abuses of power are revealed within their regimes as well as in others around the globe. Yet seeing through a wider lens connecting with new communication links, it becomes apparent that there is much more going on in our world. One can see a new era being born! Right in the midst of destabilising influences and failing old modes and structures, the human soul is shining ever more brightly through the millions of good-hearted people who are awakening to the truth behind the limiting outer images and are highlighting true value and real need. Many are taking responsibility for meeting that need wherever they feel drawn to serve and are calling for compassionate reform as conservative forces delay.

A growing number of agencies are bringing the news we don’t get to hear about through the traditional media infrastructure. One example is Spark News whose founder, Christian de Boisredon, writes:

Among the millions of initiatives leading the charge of the heart is the Invictus Games to be held in Sydney in October. Another example of those introducing a new way of living and relating in our world, is the River Phoenix Centre for Peacebuilding and their success in introducing restorative justice processes. All that is good, true and beautiful in humanity has been guided by the Truth at the heart of all the great religions and philosophies. It has been preserved down through the ages beneath the changing overlays of culture, interpretation and ritual and is still recognisable to the inner knowing deep within every human heart. This inherent knowing is gaining strength, is being forged through the tests of experience, and is coming to the fore and expressing through an ever-finer discernment. It is an awareness responsive to the interrelated and interdependent Life “in Whom we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)  It is:

Christ in you, the hope of glory” Colossians 1:27

Something good is being realised in the human heart, and a capacity for greater things is germinating there.

We know how uplifting kindness can be, how heart-warming and refining. We might then imagine how every act of kindness, every good thought and every finer feeling could build towards a Kingdom of Souls and draw it closer. And everywhere today we find “ordinary” people working to alleviate suffering, to regenerate ecosystems, to save and protect animals at risk, to live in a way that nurtures the planetary life as it expresses through the beauty of the natural world, and to bring to light all that hinders so it that it may be removed. The human family is building a new lighted home for an enlightened Age. As more and more of us begin to live as souls in the world, we discern the Age of the Soul emerging through the human heart.

Something good, and right, and true is building – perhaps unseen as yet by eyes still desensitised by world trauma, but increasingly apparent to the wider lens of an open heart. Small initiatives here and there are finding things falling into place as though guided by an invisible hand. The power of the Kingdom of Souls is beginning to express through the network of souls in the world – as need draws it closer. A receptive place is building ready to meet the source of inspiration and sparkling motive behind all initiatives of care and compassion. This source radiates through the great Teachers, the Enlightened Ones, and our recognition of this creates a “welcoming vibration” for Them to come among us again. Their forerunners are already here among those who serve truth and beauty, who are establishing the hearth of our new world home in the human heart.

The Teacher has joined in an eternal oath about establishment of the New World, so follow Him with your every effort. Humanity needs to purify its existence, so reconstruction must begin from the hearth, from everyday life. You should not wait for whole nations to start moving; on the contrary, the life principle will undergo a worldwide reformation on a personal basis, quite apart from nationality. So you should first of all remember that it is not the narrow old boundaries that will partition the world. The foundation of psychic energy is not limiting itself to a specific nation, but will discover a completely different world pattern.” Heart 173

Our human essence is the sea of shared sensitive awareness of a great Life in which we are points of receptive and distributive light, sparkling throughout its vastness. The great World teachers have embodied this and so demonstrated our potential. Their teachings record Their radiant livingness and love, and are signposts into the living reality of Their Presence. As Christ said:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10)

The light of this life resides within each of us, sparks of the One Life. These sparks are the soul, the light that inspires our “best self” with its inherent ability to recognise what is essentially good, true and beautiful in our world, whatever form that may take. Rumi urges us:

Come near, come near!
Since you are me and I am you
there is no more separation.
We are Light upon Light
why this conflict, this stubbornness?
What light flees from such a Light?
We are all one complete being, why this double vision?
Why do the rich look at the poor with distaste?
Why does the right hand look upon the left with disgust?
Since both are part of you, what is good about the right
what is distasteful about the left?
We are entirely one essence, one intellect, and one head
yet we see double because of our misconceptions.
How much longer will you drag this baggage
of the five senses and the six directions?
Draw near to Unity!
Rise above your selfishness and merge with all!
On your own, you are only a seed of grain
but together with all, you are a gold mine.
Know that the spirit is one but bodies are countless
just as almonds share the same quality of being oily.
The meaning of a word is the same in different languages
the water becomes one once the cups are broken.
Spirit sends news to everyone with vision
for in Unity the heart is free from the bondage of words.

When we share the same purpose, when there is no competition or judgement, and when we cooperate together, each taking our place in the whole with every one included, appreciated and held in the heart, then a shared expression organically emerges and the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, glorious beyond imagining. The emergence of this realisation all around the world is the working out of a divine intention, a Plan. It becomes clear through the expanding of human consciousness and the refining of its sensitivity. In a way it is:

…the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

In these critical times of transition, a strong current of Hope is necessary to carry us through the fragmentation of the old world dissolving. It is a beacon to disperse the dark and to keep us firmly anchored in what we can create and what is to come, while the winds of dissolution blow the old away. Hope, born of our soul’s inner knowing, is inspiring the building of a lighted home and will carry us into a new Age of Light, of the Kingdom of Souls and the Presence of the Great Ones Whose reappearance has been foretold and divinely intended to come at such a juncture as we are now facing in the world.
