Sydney Goodwill Goodwill is love in action
A group of 55+ peace leaders from around the world will be present at the Japan Peace Convergence hosted by Unity Earth (https://unity.earth/japan-2024/ ) from15-22 September 2024.
The Convergence will begin in Tokyo (15-17 September), move to a Spiritual Retreat at Mt Fuji (18-20 September), and culminate on the 21 September, the International Day of Peace, in Hiroshima Peace Park with a 24 hour celebration that includes a Global Silent Minute in Tokyo at 12 noon (see below for times elsewhere) and will close with a Peace Concert.

At each of the three gatherings, a Global Silent Minute will be observed to assist with the global distribution of energies.
On the International Day of Peace on 21 September a Flag Ceremony will be held in Hiroshima Peace Park, convened by May Peace Prevail on Earth International, and will close with a Global Silent Minute.
The 2024 Global Peace Day Theme for the United Nations International Day of Peace is Cultivating a Culture of Peace.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace. In that declaration, the United Nations’ most inclusive body recognized that peace “not only is the absence of conflict, but also requires a positive, dynamic participatory process where dialogue is encouraged and conflicts are solved in a spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation.” https://www.un.org/en/observances/international-day-peace

Tokyo is one of five Planetary Centres and Mt Fuji is the Sacred Mountain representing the Soul of Japan.
Global Silent Minute honours Mount Kailash, the Mountain of the Bell, in the Himalayas in Tibet, as the mountain at the top of the world that stands in sacred communion with all mountains around the globe. As we focus on the Japan Peace Convergence, we might like to hold in our thought Mt Fuji and Mount Kailash as we link with mountains wherever we are on the planet – aware that they inspire us to our highest. Perhaps as Humanity we might pause to reflect on the message from mountains in terms of cultivating a culture of peace. They stand immovable rooted in the Earth, in stillness, with their peaks in the clouds. What if we were to bring their summit thinking to the dynamic participatory process or resolving conflicts in a spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation.
